Golfer Munoz Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American First-Team

Arizona State golfer Azahara Munoz has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's At-Large First-Team. The junior from Malaga, Spain earned the honor with a 3.9 in psychology. Munoz is the fourth Sun Devil women's golfer to be named an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American to give the women's golf team its sixth all-time Academic All-American honor.

This past season, Munoz became the ninth Sun Devil to win the NCAA Individual Championship. A stellar athlete and student, Munoz was also named First-Team All-America by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) and Golfweek Magazine. Munoz was also named an NGCA Academic All-American and was the winner of the Edith Cummings Munson award that is given to the All-American with the highest GPA.
