Megan returns to the Sun Devil line-up after a solid freshman campaign which saw her post a phenomenal 17-4 record with a 2.08 ERA. Through the season, Megan struck out 130 batters while holding opposing offenses to a .238 batting average and pitching five complete game shutouts. Elliott poses another threat to teams as well as she hit .300 at the plate scoring nine runs and driving in 15 as she belted five homeruns for a huge .640 slugging percentage. The right-hander returns this season to even out the pitching ranks of Katie Burkhart and Amanda Nesbitt to combine for a lethal defensive power in the pitching circle. Megan's high school career was one of note as well as she came out of high school in 2007 as one of the best high school softball players in the nation. While captaining Calvert High her junior and senior years of high school, Elliott helped lead her high school squad to two state championships her sophomore and senior years. Throughout her high school career Megan was named All-Met four times and was named the player of the year twice. She holds the high school record of shutouts in a row with 22 and in batters struck out in a row with 18, both of which she accomplished in 2003. The elementary education major was born on May 6, 1988 to Michael (retired fireman) and Debbie (day care owner) Elliott of Prince Frederick, Md. and has three siblings: Angie (33), Jason (31) and Michael (13).
